Games Firm Offers Kate Moss $5m

Online gaming company Nine.com offers Kate Moss $5m if she cleans up. Publicity stuntwork suspected…

The beleaguered Kate Moss – ditched by Chanel, H&M and even chav favourites Burberry for her alleged cocaine abuse – has been tossed a lifeline by the online gaming site Nine.com.

The industry she works in is well aware of the pressures top models are put under to maintain their body image, and when the crap hit the fan, she was dumped

The firm has offered her a cool $5 million deal, on the proviso she cleans up her act.

Nine.com spokesman Jack Abrams said: ‘The industry she works in is well aware of the pressures top models are put under to maintain their body image, and when the crap hit the fan, she was dumped.’

But is this a serious offer or a clever publicity stunt?

‘It’s serious,’ insists Abrams. ‘Nine.com has faxed a proposal to her agent. There were very specific conditions set forth which would not have been included if we were not serious.’

Among these conditions, however, are a number of deal-breakers, including a compulsory two-month ‘observation period’ at the firm’s Costa Rican HQ. As yet Kate has not responded, though Abrams says that ‘we understand that some of our conditions were to be asked to be renegotiated’, whatever the hell that means.

We asked Jack if Nine.com might consider Pete Doherty if Moss declines. ‘I don’t think that Pete Doherty would be a convincing spokesperson for our brand, even though I am a fan of his music.’ Spoilsports.
