Ladbrokes action

Ladbrokespoker.com had a great WSOP and they're celebrating with two cracking tourneys

As the dust settles on the 2006 World Series of Poker players return home either to count their winnings or wonder where it all went wrong.

One big poker operator that sent plenty of representation over to Las Vegas is Ladbrokespoker.com, and they have returned victorious.

Their players have brought home one gold bracelet and $1.5m in cold hard cash, and to celebrate Ladbrokes is staging two post-WSOP online tournaments this weekend.

Ten of the team that played in Vegas, including six times world snooker champ Steve Davis, top European female finisher Katharine Hartree and Kevin Daly will be appearing.

As the team join forces once again, you have the chance to take down the WSOP veterans. You can play in the $25 tournament on Saturday at 9.30pm UK time, pick up a few tips from the team and try to scoop the prize pool which has $8,700 added and a first prize $2,650 LEOCOP seat (Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker). Eleven of the Ladbrokes team money finishers will have a bounty on their heads, LEOCOP seats worth $550 will be awarded to successful bounty hunters!

And then on Sunday you can catch up with Steve Davis fresh from his Las Vegas WSOP adventures at 9pm on Ladbrokespoker.com. It’s a golden opportunity to question ‘The Nugget’ and get the inside track on his poker technique and the strategy that saw him make it through to day three of the most gruelling poker tournament in the world, securing 579th position and winning over $20,000.

Join in the inevitable banter between Steve and his pals from the sporting world of cricket, rugby and darts. If you fancy your chances the game is Texas Hold’em, it’s a $10 freezeout and Ladbrokespoker.com is generously adding $1,000 to the prize pool. Collect a $100 bounty for each celebrity you knock out of the tournament, take your pick from poker babe Leilani (model), Austin Healey (rugby), Mike Tindall (rugby) , Phil Taylor darts), Barry Hearn, Michael Greco (actor), Robbie Paul and Ed Giddings (cricket). Usual rules apply, 2000 starting chips blinds increasing every 12 minutres with blinds starting at 10 and 20.

Apart from the prize pool the winner of the tournament will become part of the Ladbrokes 2007 WSOP team.

The tournament starts at 9pm on Sunday and is a $10 freezeout.
