Paul Foltyn wins GUKPT Brighton

BadPab secures his second GUKPT title in Brighton

Paul ‘BadPab’ Foltyn has won the GUKPT Brighton for £46,400, booking his place in December’s Champion of Champions tournament alongside fellow GUKPT standouts Neil Channing and Priyan de Mel.

Foltyn decimated his final table, building up a 4-1 chip lead over second place finisher Jose Azoriin before heads-up play had kicked off.

When Azoriin’s Q-10 ran into Foltyn’s Q-J, the writing was on the wall for the Doncaster pro, who adds the Brighton title to his 2008 GUKPT Grand Final Victory and cements his name as an up-and-coming UK player after years of online prowess.

The final table payouts for GUKPT Brighton were as follows:

1. Paul Foltyn, £46,400
2.
Jose Azoriin, £32,400
3. Paul Romain, £20,400
4. Mark James, £12,400
5. John Eames, £9,600
6. Damian Evans, £7,600
7.
Jenyue Chaing, £6,000
8.
Manuel Palanca, £4,400
9. Michalis Michael, £3,200
10.
Lee Taylor, £2,800

The GUKPT tour bus pulls into Blackpool on November 6th and PokerPlayer.co.uk will be there to bring you all the details.
