PokerWize on the way

A new 3-D electronic poker offering will boast tutorials, play for fun and real-money online action

The next generation of electronic poker is coming. Hot on the heels of PKR comes Pokerwize.com, which aims to revolutionise the online poker experience when it launches its 3-D virtual reality poker game this summer.

The real-money online element will be part of the Prima Poker network which boasts over 10,000 players, so the right game shouldn’t be too hard to find.

Pokerwize.com uses state-of-the-art video gaming technology to add a whole new dimension to the world of interactive gaming.

Helen Chamberlain, Soccer AM co-host and big money winner in the 2005 Poker Million Tournament, provides a 3D visual likeness and voiceover for Pokerwize’s interactive tutorial. This one-on-one personal tuition will be the first of its kind to be included in an online poker game. In another world first, players will be able to chat freely over the Internet using Voice over IP (VoIP).

With its innovative features, Pokerwize.com offers a unique and exciting experience for every player, no matter what their skill level.

Players can practice on a stand-alone state-of-the-art computer game, and get guidance while they play from poker professional and TV presenter Matt Broughton. A tutorial and practice package like this would retail for upwards of £80, but will be a standard feature in every edition of Pokerwize.com.

Pokerwize.com will include a single player game, an online play-for-fun mode, and an online real money game. Every version of the game will include ‘Statwize’, a unique feature that will empower all players at all levels. Statwize instantly displays key information about each hand, giving even the most advance players the ammo they need to raise their game.

Matt Broughton has been closely involved in the design and development to ensure the Pokerwize.com experience is as true to real life – and as much fun – as possible. He comments: "With Pokerwize.com, beginners can learn to play the game in an easy to use and friendly format, allowing them to develop the skills they need to play for real stakes, and more experienced players can take advantage of the unique built in features to play even better.”

Foo Katan, CEO of Pokerwize.com said: “Not only will Pokerwize.com offer 3D animation and graphics that make the whole online experience far richer, it also has an integrated and unique interactive tutorial designed to equip novices and intermediate players with the skills needed to hold their own. We want to empower the players, so they can play with confidence and really flourish!”
