WSOP 2011 to go live!

Final tables will be broadcast online

June looks set to be a busy month if enjoy watching live poker, following the news that WSOP.com is planning on streaming final table coverage of 55 out of the 58 gold bracelet events over the Internet.

Each event will be streamed via WSOP.com with a five-minute delay. There will be two cameras capturing all the action with one offering a wide overhead shot of the entire table and the players and the other a dedicated flop camera, there will not be any hole-card action though. Commentary is set to come from the tournament’s final table announcer.

It is the first time all 58 WSOP events will receive some degree of coverage, with ESPN3 covering the only three events not being streamed over the Internet, the $25K Heads Up, $50K Poker Players Championship and the Main Event.

On most days, two final tables will be streamed with live coverage beginning at 21:30 and continuing until the event finishes. Coverage will run from June 1 – July 7.
