Sky Poker Announce Huge UK Festival

Sky Poker to host £500,000 UK Poker Championships at Dusk Till Dawn in February 2014

Sky Poker has announced that it will host the first-ever UK Poker Championships in 2014 at the Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottingham. The ambitious series will run for seven days and encompass six exciting events, with coverage being shown on Sky Sports!

The pick of the bunch is clearly the £1000+£100 main event, with a £500,000 guaranteed prizepool and two day ones on February 19 and 20. Sky Poker will be hosting a slew of affordable satellites nearer the time for players to qualify in cheaply.

Another exciting event is the £3000+£150 High Roller, starting on February 18. It’s a great addition to the schedule as it should ensure that the UK’s top pros – and a number of European stars – all make the trip to Robin Hood country and stay for the entire festival. It’s a bold move by Sky Poker and Richard Milner, Head of Sky Poker, said, ‘Everyone at Sky Poker is really excited about the UK Poker Championships. It will be the biggest live event we have ever had and comes hot on the heels of another successful season of the Sky Poker Tour (SPT).’ The Grand Final of the SPT is taking place as we speak – PokerPlayer.co.uk will have the results from there tomorrow.
