Don’t miss the £1m guaranteed Sky UK Poker Championship

Fraser Bellamy won the 2015 Sky UKPC and took home a cool £200k – this year it could be you

The 2016 Sky UK Poker Championship kicks off tomorrow at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham. The £1,100 buy-in event is one of the best on the UK circuit, not least because of its whopping guarantee of £1m. That means you could be playing for a first prize of at least £200k – the figure that Fraser Bellamy took home last year after toppling a field of 887 runners.

There are three Day 1s, starting tomorrow and running until Saturday. The field merges on Sunday for Day 2 and the final table plays out on Monday. If you can’t afford the buy-in you can still qualify online. Three freerolls play out tonight at 7.30pm, 7.40pm and 7.50pm and you can gain entry by earning Sky Poker Points before you play (50/250 and 500 respectively). The winner of each freeroll will win a £1,100 seat for Day 1C on Saturday. Click here for more info. Look out for a full report in the next issue of PokerPlayer.
