PokerStars announce stops for 2014 UKIPT

While the rest of us have been eating, drinking and generally being (hopefully) rather merry, PokerStars have been busy announcing some exciting live tournaments for 2014.

The UKIPT – now in its fourth season – will kick off the New Year with a festival of poker in the Scottish capital, Edinburgh. The main event will be guaranteed at £500,000 with the usual buy-in of £1,100.

But PokerStars have listened to feedback and brought back the £770 buy-in for two stops in 2014, Dublin and the Isle of Man. It’s good to see some variety and it will be interesting to see how many runners those two tournaments get.

And the UK’s most popular tour returns to Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, for what should be the biggest tournament on the schedule. It’s been guaranteed at a whopping £1,000,000 and hopefully it exceeds that number by quite a way. We’d love to see a booming year for live poker in the UK and we’ll certainly be here covering it.

There’s also a chance for regulars to get some sunshine in Marbella and compete in the annual Grand Final in London later in the year. Here’s the 2014 UKIPT in full.
