PokerStars UKIPT returns to London in January for the start of Season 5

Season 4 of the PokerStars UKIPT awarded £7m in prizes – stake a claim for your share in 2015

As the poker year draws to a close in the UK, shrewd players are already drawing up their battle plans for 2015 and adding one very important resolution to the top of their list: ‘Win a UKIPT!’ If you haven’t played one yet you’re missing out on an incredible live poker experience. Last year 7,700 players graced UKIPT main events and £7 million was given away.

The UKIPT was last in London as part of the recent EPT festival in October. 1,089 players ponied up the £700+£70 buy-in and when the dust had settled Brett Angell walked off with £115k and the trophy. It was Angell’s biggest win and first major title after he launched his career with a second place finish for £80k at the UKIPT Nottingham in 2011.

Season 5 kicks off in January with a £700+£70 buy-in Main Event at The Hippodrome Casino in London. Registration is open and satellites are running on PokerStars now for as little as £1.10.

The six-day festival starts on January 20 with the £3,000 High Roller, followed by the first of three Day 1s for the Main Event on January 21. Live satellites for the High Roller and the Main Event will also play out at the casino, along with plenty of affordable side events and 24/7 cash games to suit every poker bankroll.

After London the UKIPT will be hitting the top poker destinations across the UK and Ireland, including Edinburgh, Nottingham, Bristol and Dublin, as well as a stop-off in Marbella in June. This season the tournament will feature High Roller events at every stop, in addition to a full side event schedule and a £1million prize pool guarantee at the UKIPT Nottingham Main Event.
