Unibet reduces rake again and launches network

Looking for a poker site that puts players first? Unibet wants your action…

PokerStars might have tried to convince players that rake increases are inevitable in today’s poker economy but Unibet is taking a different approach. It’s just announced new rake decreases on the back of previously lowered rake at NL4, PLO4, NL10, PLO10 and PLO25. Unibet will now rake PLO50 cash games at just 3.5% (previously 6%) and has lowered rake in €50 and €100 5-max SNGs to 3% (previously 5%).

Unibet is also looking to address the liquidity on its site by setting itself up as a network. Finnish site Pokerihuone is the first to move its players onto the platform and Unibet is hoping that other sites buy into its player-centric ethos. It’s looking to build a ‘friendly’ network where skins aren’t forced to fight against each other – all rewards and promotions will be the same across Unibet and Pokerihuone, and this rule will apply to any future skins that merge onto the platform.

Players have been asking for other sites to step up to the plate and challenge PokerStars and these are bold moves by Unibet that look to be paying dividends, coming on the back of record results across all of its business.
