World Tavern Poker and 888poker New Jersey team up to bring the WTP Online League to players throughout the US
You can now play in America’s number one bar poker league from the comfort of your own home, in three ‘online venues’. You can compete in free online tournaments for points, playing with the same structure from local World Tavern Poker games. Additionally, New Jersey players can play for real money in the WTP Online League, with the Season Points Champion in the Garden State earning a $3,500 VIP package to a future OPEN event (World Tavern’s National Championships held twice yearly).
If you’re not in New Jersey you can compete for $1,000 packages to the OPEN. The Season Points Champion at both the ‘Rounder’s’ and ‘Triple 8’s’ online venues will be awarded the prize packages.
Hundreds of players from World Tavern Poker bars around the United States have registered for 888 Poker NJ accounts to play in the WTP Online League this season. Nearly 40% of players registered hail from New Jersey, one of only three states currently offering regulated online poker in the US.
New Jersey-only WTP Online League events, which have a $3.30 buy-in, run on Fridays (7.30pm & 10pm) and Saturdays (7pm & 10pm). No-cost tournaments in the WTP Online League are open to all World Tavern players, running weekly on Friday nights (7pm & 10pm) and Sundays (10am & 1pm).
You must have a World Tavern Poker account to participate in the WTP Online League. WTP Online events on 888poker are password protected to prevent non-WTP players from registering.
