Premier League 05/10: Mourinho ready to extend his hold over Wenger with Chelsea victory

Few managers can boast a winning record against Arsene Wenger, and even fewer can claim to have never been defeated by the Frenchman’s Arsenal side, but Jose Mourinho is perhaps used to finding himself in a category of his own.

The Portuguese manager is unbeaten in 11 matches against Wenger, winning six of those games including the 6-0 thrashing his side handed out at Stamford Bridge last season. As such, the 4/6 odds with BetVictor that the Blues beat Arsenal again this weekend look impossible to ignore, despite the Gunners’ thus far unbeaten start to the league campaign. Not only is Wenger going up against his least favourite opponent, he is having to do so in the midst of yet another injury crisis at the Emirates.

Nine first-team players are doubts for the match at Stamford Bridge, with the Gunners’ firepower considerably reduced by the absence of Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott. Arsenal failed to net in all three meetings with Chelsea last season, and even if the Blues don’t run in six goals this time, a home win to nil at 19/10 with BetVictor looks the smart bet.
